Monocouche Render - Vimark 25kg

Vimark MonoChrome Monocouche Render is a one-coat, weather resistant, breathable, through coloured mineral decorating render for external use, suitable for most types of traditional masonry brick, blockwork or concrete. The product allows to protect, smooth and decorate, surfaces maintaining good breathability of walls. This product is designed for mechanical projection by diesel and electric machines or hand application. Vimark Monocouche Render can be finished in a range of textures such as scraped, light sprayed, sponged or float finish.

Monocouche render product meets the technical requirements of NHBC Standards 2017 Chapter 6.11 ‘Render and rendering systems’ and therefore acceptable for use on developments intending to be covered by the NHBC Buildmark Warranty.

Preparation

Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of any substances that could interfere with the application. Apply a primer to the substrate beforehand; we suggest using the Licata Substrate Primer.

The Vimark Monocouche Render comes as a dry mix. To prepare it, combine with clean water. Pour the 25kg bag of dry mix into approximately 4.5-5 liters of water. Mix thoroughly for 2 minutes, let it sit, and then mix again.

Application of Monocouche Render

Apply the render to the primed surface in two layers. Start by applying the first layer with a stainless steel trowel or spray pump to a thickness of 10mm, embedding fiberglass mesh into this layer. Then, apply the second layer to a thickness of 8-9mm, and scratch it back to 2-3mm to achieve the final finish. The overall thickness should be between 15-17mm. The drying time will depend on the weather conditions. Important: Do not apply render below the damp-proof course (DPC) or within 150mm of ground level.

Storage

12 months from date of manufacture if stored in unopened original packaging in a dry and frost-free place.
