Description
Parex Micro Gobetis 3000 is a pink coloured liquid with a high granular consistency for ease of application recognition, and to provide excellent bonding characteristics. The product is designed to control suction to high absorption or low porosity substrates and improves the adhesion for one coat render systems.
For external and internal use on smooth, low porosity substrates such as cast concrete, concrete panels or engineering bricks or high absorption substrates such as lightweight aircrete blockwork, common bricks and certain float-smoothed, well adhered, render surfaces.
Features & Benefits
- Suitable substrates:
- External and internal use
- Smooth, low porosity substrates such as cast concrete, concrete panels or engineering bricks
- High absorption substrates such as lightweight aircrete blockwork, common bricks and certain float-smoothed, well adhered, render surfaces
- Pink coloured liquid with a high granular consistency for ease of application recognition
- Excellent bonding characteristics
- Designed to control suction to high absorption or low porosity substrates
- Improves the adhesion for one coat render systems e.g. Monorex GM* & Monorex GF*, Monoblanco*, Blanc Du Littoral* etc, and the Parextherm and Parexdirect Render Systems
* Refer to the specific product data sheets.
Application
High/Low Porosity Masonry & Concrete Substrates
- For low porosity substrates, apply in a single coat using a roller or brush
- On high absorption substrates e.g. lightweight aircrete blockwork, apply a first coat of MICRO GOBETIS 3000 and if required, this can be diluted with up to 25% clean water to aid application of the first coat for a two coat application
- Test the substrate for suction i.e. using a plasterers paddle brush, cast some water at the treated surface and if it sucks in, apply a further coat, if it sits on the surface, the substrate is ready for the render application
- To avoid excessive applications, it is recommended this procedure is completed after the first coat, as subsequent coats may not be required
- Once suction control is satisfactory continue with the application
External Wall Insulation Sustem Using Phenolic Insulation
- When applying Micro Gobetis 3000 onto phenolic insulation follow the same procedure as detailed above for high absorption substrates
- This application will require a minimum of two coats
General Application Notes
- The render coat can be applied as soon as the Micro Gobetis 3000 is dry, i.e. after 1 to 24 hours depending on weather conditions
- On Phenolic insulation this can generally occur immediately after the 2nd coat
- Fully mix the product before use to maintain an even consistency
- Micro Gobetis 3000 is best applied by brush or medium lambs wool roller as other roller types sometimes bunch the product
- Coverage 250 to 500 g/m2 depending on the substrate surface condition. Expect increased consumption on high absorption substrates e.g. lightweight aircrete blockwork and phenolic insulation
Limitations
- Do not dilute the product unless using as recommended on the above applications
- The substrate must be dry, sound, clean and free from de-bonding agents and powdery substances
- Do not apply on wet substrates
- Temperature range : +5°C to + 30ºC
